AFAQ Engineering for Building Contracting LLC – Dubai is seeking qualified and experienced professionals to join its team for exciting engineering and high-rise building construction projects across the UAE.

Qualifications & requirements

Cost Control Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. Professional certification in project controls or cost management is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in cost control for high-rise building construction projects.
  • Experience in project budgeting, cost forecasting, cash flow analysis, and budget monitoring.
  • Experience preparing cost reports, financial dashboards, and monthly progress reports.
  • Knowledge of variation orders, subcontractor costs, procurement costs, and cost-to-complete forecasting.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Primavera P6, SAP, ERP systems, or other cost-control software is preferred.
Planning Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in planning and scheduling high-rise building construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Experience developing baseline programmes, detailed construction schedules, and resource-loaded programmes.
  • Experience preparing weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and S-curves.
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing for foundations, basements, structural frames, façades, MEP installations, and finishing works.
Technical Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical engineering for high-rise building construction projects.
  • Experience reviewing architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for coordination and constructability.
  • Ability to prepare and review shop drawings, technical submittals, material submissions, and method statements.
  • Experience managing Requests for Information (RFIs), resolving design discrepancies, and coordinating with consultants.
  • Knowledge of construction specifications, building codes, quality requirements, and approved drawings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and BIM coordination is preferred.
Quantity Surveyor
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying for high-rise building construction projects.
  • Experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, interim payment applications, and subcontractor payment assessments.
  • Knowledge of variations, claims, cost analysis, and measurement of completed works.
  • Experience reviewing contract documents, specifications, drawings, and tender submissions.
  • Ability to prepare and verify quantities for concrete, reinforcement, structural works, façade, MEP, and finishing packages.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; knowledge of CostX, PlanSwift, or similar software is an advantage.
Safety Officer
  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or an equivalent recognized safety qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of HSE experience in high-rise building construction projects.
  • Experience implementing site-specific HSE plans, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

Eligibility criteria

  • Proficiency in English and Arabic (speaking and writing) will be an advantage.
  • GCC/UAE experience will be an advantage.
  • UAE high-rise building experience is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in high-rise building construction, including basement works, reinforced concrete structures, façade installation, MEP coordination, and finishing works, will be preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Good communication, coordination, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, professional ethics, and timely project delivery.
  • Candidates must be willing to work at the designated project location and meet applicable UAE employment and visa requirements.
  • Candidates must be available in the UAE / Locally and able to join immediately.
