A leading Contracting Engineering Company is urgently seeking highly experienced professionals for 220kV Grid Station, Substation & High-Voltage Cable Installation Projects in Al-Ruwais, Abu Dhabi.
Qualifications & requirements
Electrical Project Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience, including significant UAE experience in HV/EHV underground cable projects, preferably 132kV/220kV.
- Strong background in project execution, utility coordination, testing, commissioning, HSE, planning and team management.
Construction Manager – HV Cable & Substation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in HV cable installation and substation construction.
- UAE experience in major utility/power infrastructure projects is required.
- Strong knowledge of site execution, resource management, HSE and quality requirements.
Electrical Site Engineer – HV Cables
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of relevant experience in HV underground cable works, including cable laying, jointing, termination and site coordination.
- TAQA competency for HV cables is required.
Electrical Control & Protection Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of relevant UAE experience in protection and control systems for HV substations.
- Experience with protection relays, control schemes, interlocking, testing, troubleshooting and protection coordination is preferred.
Testing & Commissioning Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of relevant experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations/cable systems.
- Strong knowledge of protection relays, transformers, switchgear, cables and associated testing procedures.
SCMS / RTU / Telecom Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or related Engineering discipline.
- 7–10+ years of relevant experience in SCMS/SCADA, RTU and telecom systems for substations and power infrastructure.
- UAE utility/project experience is highly preferred.
Civil Site Engineer – TAQA Competency
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of relevant UAE experience in civil works associated with HV cable routes and substations, including trenching, duct banks, foundations, road crossings and reinstatement work.
- TAQA competency is required.
Planning Engineer – HV Works
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of planning experience in HV electrical/substation/cable projects in the UAE.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, scheduling, progress monitoring, resource planning, reporting and delay analysis.
- TAQA approval is required.
Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must be fluent in English and Arabic.
- GCC/UAE experience will be an advantage.
- Good English communication, reporting, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Proven experience in the specific discipline applied for, preferably involving HV/EHV underground cables, substations, testing & commissioning, protection/control, SCMS/RTU/telecom, or associated civil works.
- Valid TAQA competency/approval is mandatory where specifically stated for the position; prior experience as a TAQA/TRANSCO-approved engineer/contractor is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of HV substations and associated infrastructure, with strict adherence to QA/QC and HSE requirements.
- Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and quality procedures.
- Candidates must be willing and available to work in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Candidates must be available in the UAE / Locally and able to join immediately.
