German Steel is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and qualified Junior Quantity Surveyors to join its growing team in the structural steel industry. This opportunity is ideal for fresh Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering graduates looking to develop their professional careers in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and structural steel construction.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior quantity surveyors and estimation engineers in preparing quantity take-offs and BOQs for structural steel projects.
- Review engineering drawings, structural layouts, and technical specifications to identify material quantities and project requirements.
- Support the preparation of preliminary cost estimates, material calculations, and project budgets.
- Assist in calculating structural steel quantities, including beams, columns, plates, connections, and other steel components.
- Support material reconciliation, quantity verification, and cost monitoring activities.
Qualifications & requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; previous professional experience is not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of quantity surveying, quantity take-offs, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and construction cost estimation.
- Fundamental knowledge of structural steel components, fabrication processes, engineering drawings, and material specifications.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software.
- Ability to interpret structural drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must be fluent in English and Arabic.
- Good analytical, numerical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Excel and basic engineering drawings.
- Strong willingness to learn, develop technical skills, and grow professionally.
- Immediate joiners and fresh graduates will be given preference.
- Candidates must be available in the UAE / Locally and able to join immediately.
