Dorsch is a German multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with more than 60 years of work worldwide and a long presence in the Gulf, supervising infrastructure, water and building projects for government and private clients. Dorsch is looking for an experienced Civil Material Inspector for its infrastructure and sewage treatment plant projects in Saudi Arabia.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect materials for STP structures, including reinforced concrete tanks, water-retaining structures, foundations and underground utilities.
- Witness and review field and laboratory tests: concrete slump and compressive strength, soil compaction, field density tests and aggregate tests.
- Review material submittals, Material Approval Requests (MAR) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR).
- Check test reports and compliance certificates against the project specifications.
- Report findings clearly and coordinate with the contractor and the project team.
Qualifications & requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
- At least 10 years in civil material inspection, quality control and testing on infrastructure and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects.
- Proven material inspection and QA on wastewater treatment plants, sewerage networks, drainage, pipelines, roads and related civil works.
- Strong knowledge of concrete, reinforcement steel, aggregates, asphalt, backfill, pipes and precast elements.
- GCC experience on major infrastructure, wastewater or STP projects is an advantage.
- Excellent technical reporting, communication and coordination skills.
Eligibility criteria
- STP or wastewater infrastructure inspection experience is essential.
- GCC infrastructure experience is an advantage.
- 10+ years of civil material inspection on STP and infrastructure projects is required.
