About the company
Architecture and Planning Group (APG) is a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm with roots in Egypt and a presence in the UAE since 1973, offering master planning, architecture, interiors, structural and MEP engineering from eight offices across the region. APG is growing its site supervision team and is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with more than 15 years of experience.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical works on site as part of the consultant’s supervision team.
- Check that installations follow the approved design, specifications and UAE codes.
- Coordinate submissions with Dubai authorities and follow them through to approval.
- Work with contractors, the design team and the client to settle technical issues on site.
- Lead and guide the mechanical inspection staff.
Qualifications & requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or the qualification the role calls for.
- 15+ years of experience, including site work with architecture or engineering consultancies in the UAE or GCC.
- Experience obtaining approvals from Dubai authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Good knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi codes, regulations and authority requirements.
- Design experience on large hotel projects is an advantage.
- Strong technical and leadership skills.
