About the company
Perfection Metal Industries LLC, a UAE structural steel contractor that designs, fabricates and erects steel structures across the GCC, is looking for a Structural Design Engineer with at least 5 years of UAE experience in the steel and metal industry. The engineer will model, analyse and design steel structures and their connections, prepare calculations and shop drawings, and take designs through approval with consultants and UAE authorities.
Key responsibilities
- Build 3D structural models for the design and analysis of steel structures.
- Run structural analysis in STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, RAM and IDEA StatiCa.
- Prepare design calculations, technical reports and connection designs.
- Produce shop drawings in AutoCAD, including plans, sections, schedules and connection details.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers and local authorities to get designs approved.
- Attend technical meetings, solve site issues and answer technical queries.
- Suggest value engineering options that cut cost while keeping the structure safe and compliant.
Qualifications & requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E.) in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- At least 5 years of UAE experience in the structural steel or metal industry.
- Strong skills in STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, IDEA StatiCa and AutoCAD.
- Sound knowledge of UAE structural design codes, regulations and authority requirements.
- Experience in steel connection design, shop drawings and technical submissions.
- Accreditation with Dubai Municipality (G+1 or G+4), Trakhees (Grey Card) or the Dubai Development Authority (DDA) is preferred.
Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must be fluent in English.
- Good technical coordination, communication and problem solving skills.
- UAE experience in the steel or metal industry is required.
- Candidates must be available in the UAE / Locally and able to join immediately.
