About the company
Combined Group Contracting Company (CGC) is a Kuwaiti engineering and construction company founded in 1965, building roads, bridges, tunnels, oil and gas pipelines and power projects for clients such as KOC and KNPC. CGC is looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer to prepare cost estimates and support tendering for its oil and gas projects in Kuwait.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates covering materials, labour, equipment and subcontractors.
- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Handle tendering and bidding (RFQ/RFP), including pre-qualification.
- Support pre and post bid clarifications and project budgeting.
- Carry out cost analysis and value engineering, and identify risks and contingencies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement and planning teams to get input from every discipline.
Qualifications & requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 8 years in oil and gas or EPC estimation, with knowledge across civil, mechanical, E&I and cathodic protection.
- Familiar with KOC, KNPC, KGOC and KIPIC standards and requirements.
- Good knowledge of market prices and negotiation with subcontractors and vendors.
- CCP, PMP or a similar certificate is an advantage.
Eligibility criteria
- Oil and gas or EPC estimation experience is essential.
- Experience with Kuwait oil sector clients (KOC, KNPC, KGOC, KIPIC) is required.
- Experience with Kuwait oil sector standards (KOC, KNPC, KGOC, KIPIC) is required.
