METAC General Contracting LLC has 2 openings for experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors in the UAE. The role covers the full commercial side of high-rise residential projects: BOQs, cost estimates and budgets, cost control, subcontractor payments, variations, claims and final accounts, working closely with project managers, consultants and procurement.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, cost estimates and project budgets.
- Track project spending, cost variations and financial performance through construction.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations, payment applications and contractual claims.
- Prepare interim payment certificates, variation assessments and final accounts.
- Carry out quantity take-offs and check executed work against approved drawings and specifications.
- Handle commercial correspondence, contract documents and cost reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors and procurement.
- Spot commercial risks early and put cost control measures in place.
- Keep work within contractual obligations, project budgets and approved specifications.
Qualifications & requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 12 to 15 years of UAE experience in quantity surveying and commercial management in construction.
- Proven experience on large high-rise residential building projects in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, budgeting and cost control.
- Wide experience in contract administration, variation orders, interim payment applications and final accounts.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, MS Excel and quantity surveying and estimating software.
- Familiar with FIDIC contracts, UAE construction regulations and standard methods of measurement.
Eligibility criteria
- Experience on high-rise residential building projects is essential.
- Strong commercial, contractual, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, reporting and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and handle several commercial responsibilities at once.
- Candidates must be fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Candidates must be available in the UAE / Locally and able to join immediately.
