METAC General Contracting is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer for its high-rise residential building projects in Dubai. The role runs the daily civil and structural work on site, from foundations to finishes, and keeps subcontractors, consultants and the engineering teams working to the approved drawings, specifications, schedule and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily civil and structural work on high-rise residential projects.
- Make sure work follows the approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Follow structural works including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, shear walls and concreting.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, inspection requests and method statements.
- Track progress, manpower productivity, material use and the project schedule.
- Find technical issues, settle site conflicts and put corrective measures in place.
- Deliver site activities on time while keeping quality and safety standards.
Qualifications & requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 7 to 10 years of UAE experience on high-rise residential building projects.
- Proven experience with reinforced concrete structures, foundations, substructure, superstructure and architectural finishes.
- Strong knowledge of high-rise construction methods, structural works, formwork systems, reinforcement detailing and concrete pouring.
- Wide experience in site execution, supervision, coordination and subcontractor management.
- Able to read structural and architectural drawings, shop drawings, method statements and specifications.
- Good with AutoCAD, MS Office and construction management software.
- Familiar with UAE building regulations, municipality requirements, construction standards and HSE procedures.
- Experience working with consultants, project managers, QA/QC engineers and MEP teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, manpower, materials and progress monitoring.
Eligibility criteria
- Experience on high-rise residential building projects is essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of structural and civil construction works.
- Excellent site management, leadership, communication and problem solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet construction deadlines.
- Immediate availability or a short notice period is an advantage.
- Candidates must be available in the UAE / Locally and able to join immediately.
